John Ryan no longer accepts new criminal defense matters. Since his appointment as Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Shiawassee County, professional conflict rules prevent him from representing individuals accused of crimes.

Before joining the prosecutor's office, John defended more than one hundred Michiganders against charges ranging from driving on a suspended license to first-degree murder, including four felony jury trials. That experience on both sides of the courtroom now informs his work as a prosecutor and as counsel to local governments.
